Three for Two Offer

We are currently offering  two full intensives for individuals or groups at normal price,
and a semi-intensive free.*

Intensive/semi-intensive courses are for 1 – 3 people.
Offer subject to availability, to be taken before August 2012.

*intensive = 50 units
semi-intensive = 20 units

Intensive Courses

Intensive courses provide the following benefits:

• Courses are fully tailored to the students’ specific needs
• Each lesson builds on the skills learned in earlier lessons during the course
• The course can build one or two specific skills such as meetings, negotiations or presentations

Team Building

• Group courses for up to 3 people can develop team building and collaboration skills
• Groups can help team building for participants from different parts of the country or even neighbouring countries
• Where team building is the focus then groups up to six can be provided

Teacher Excellence

Our Director of Studies is currently researching for her MA TESOL dissertation while working on resources for one of the Teacher’s Books for a well known series used with adult learners here in Hungary.  This experience is fed into the teacher development workshops that we provide for our teachers to ensure that the whole team provides excellence.

Here’s a taster:

A first-of-its kind series of brain studies shows how an adult learning a foreign language can come to use the same brain mechanisms as a native speaker. The research also demonstrates that the kind of exposure you have to the language can determine whether you achieve native-language brain processing, and that learning under immersion conditions may be more effective in reaching this goal than typical classroom training. The research also suggests that the brain consolidates knowledge of the foreign language as time goes on, much like it does when a person learns to ride a bike or play a musical instrument.

The latest in this series of studies was published online in the journalPLoS ONE by researchers from Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC) and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
