Open Classes

What are open classes?

Open classes are provided by schools on their own premises, usually after normal working hours for individuals to attend after work. Classes are typically larger than closed courses and learners have a range of backgrounds, needs and levels tend to be more varied than in closed classes. In order to accommodate such learners courses are not tailored to individual needs or interests and typically follow a text book, or other pre-determined materials, so that learners can catch up easily on any lessons missed. These are therefore quite teacher-centred and allow less time and opportunity for the development of personalised communication skills. Corporate Communications does not currently offer such courses.
